  I don’t think it has anything to do with women being care givers. If I were to make a guess: first, it’s smart to carry around some tissue and sanitary pads when you’re a girl – especially if you spend a lot of time out. Second, when there is no one the bag keeps them company.

  Phone, purse, tissue, mirror (in case you notice everyone grinning when they look at you and you need to find out why) and when it’s time of the month sanitary napkins would do. And headphones to your phone/Ipod, chewing gum or supari is an added advantage when you’re going out to a coffee you wanna just shut up and enjoy the coffee. Other than that, I don’t believe you need to carry all that when you’re in Male’. Sewing kit, bills, batteries, bottled water??? Wha-aaat?
